  • Peach Tree
    • Watch for peach leaf curl
      • pick off curly leaves when possible
      • treat with GrowMore Seaweed Extract
    • Watch for brown rot and scab in peach tree
  • Pear Trees
    • Watch for fireblight
    • Set codling moth traps

April:

  • Fertilize fruit trees
  • Pear Trees
    • Check for codling moths
      • treat and trap as needed up to 2-weeks before harvest

May:

  • Fruit Trees (not Avocado)
    • Now to August do all summer pruning of new and shooting growth to maintain shape

June:

  • Citrus Tree
    • Prune
    • Fertilize

July:

  • Fruit Trees
    • Apply 4-10 inch home compost/worm castings and mulch to help soil around tree to assist in retaining moisture

August:

  • Fruit Trees (not Avocado)
    • Last month to do all summer pruning of new and shooting growth to maintain shape
  • Apricot Tree
    • Do not prune again till next season, as eutypa dieback can occur from a later prune

September:

  • Fruit Trees
    • Fertilize trees after harvest
  • Avocado Trees
    • Prune after harvest 
    • Use a high nitrogen fertilizer

October:

November:

  • Appricot / Cherry / Peach Trees
    • Watch for shothole fungus (aka: coryneum blight) 

December:

  • Fruit Trees (not Apricot)
    • Prune during late dormancy, before new growth
    • Watch for:
      • powdery mildew
      • peach leaf curl
      • etc
